Ice Storm, February 13, 2007

First came the snow, then the freezing rain.

Branches were coming down by lunchtime.

The ice kept getting thicker.

More branches.

And more.

This little loner seems harmless enough.

But this bunch is less benign.

The yews have heavy hats.

The maple tree branches encounter power lines, the phone line, and the cable.

And the ices continues to accumulate.

Rough day for the birds.

But they keep trying.

This holly bent more and more as the afternoon wore on.
