Scooter Crash, December 11, 2006

I stopped by Metro Scooter on the way home.

The Buddy had been totaled by the insurance company.

The frame was bent, the controls were smashed, and many
of the body parts had been smashed or, at best, scratched up.

It didn't look to too bad from the back.

But turning around I saw my new, replacement Buddy!

It has a shorter windscreen, but is otherwise identical.

We did the paperwork, I fired it up, and rode home happy!

But then, on Saturday morning, I thought I ought to record the effects on my body.

These bruises are on the side and front of my right leg, a few inches below my hip.

This one is on the back of my right leg, right below my hip

This one doesn't look bad, but feels like cracked ribs.

The right knee is coming along well.

So, between my bike and my body, I am well motivated
to be a lot more careful in future.
